Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)

The Department of Trade and Industry is the executive department of the Philippine government that is tasked to expand the Philippine trade, industries and investments as a means to generate jobs and raise incomes for Filipinos. The Department also has regional office all round the country. These regional offices acts as the implementing arm of the DTI in the areas that they are assigned to. Regional offices implement Departmental policies, programs, rules, regulations as well as laws which the Department is mandated to enforce.


The national organizational set-up of the department includes:

  • Trade and Investment Promotion Group (TIPG)

  • Industry Development and Trade Policy Group (IDTPG)

  • Consumer Welfare and Business Regulation Group (CWBRG)

  • Regional Operations and Development Group (RODG); and

  • The Management Services Group (MSG)
